LET'S LEARN AND PRACTISE (Although,Since)

Although and since are conjunctions.

We use 'although' to show contrast.
Although: Walaupun
Since: Disebabkan

Examples:
-Although he was married,King Sam did not have any children.
-Although John was poor,he led a very happy life.
-Although the old man was sick,he painted the portrait of the king.

We use 'since' to express cause and effect.

Examples:
-Since King Sam did not have children,he decided to find an heir to his throne.
-Since the people in the kingdom wanted to be the heir,they started painting immediately.
-Since the king was not happy with his people's work of art,he asked them to leave the palace.

Do not add 'but' in the sentence that has the conjuction 'although'.

Exmple:   
-Although the woman is old,but she has a lot of energy. (Wrong)
-Although the woman is old,she has a lot of energy. (True)

The word in bold are called Interrogative Pronouns.We use them to ask question.


What : To ask about people,animals and things.
Example: What do you wear to school?


Whose : To ask about things that belong to someone.
Example: Whose bag is that?


Which : To ask about choice.
Example: Which is her pet,the cat or the rabbit?


Who/Whom : To ask about people.
Example: Who is the boy wearing the green shirt?
Example: Whom are you giving this gift to?

LET'S LEARN AND PRACTISE (Across,Through)

Across and Through are called Preposition of Direction. They are used to show where are person,an animal or a things is going to or coming from.

1.Across : melintasi
- moving from one side to the other side.

2.Through : melalui
-going from one point to the other point.

Example
1.Fatihah is running across the field.
2.Nisa is jumping through the hoop.

ENGLISH ESSAY ABOUT ANIMALS

A Town Mouse and A Country Mouse

A Town Mouse and a Country Mouse were friends. The Country Mouse one day invited his friend to come and see him at his home in the fields. The Town Mouse came and they sat down to a dinner of barleycorns and roots the latter of which had a distinctly earthy flavour.
The flavour was not much to the taste of the guest and presently he broke out with “My poor dear friend, you live here no better than the ants. Now, you should just see how I fare! My larder is a regular horn of plenty. You must come and stay with me and I promise you shall live on the fat of the land.”
So when he returned to town he took the Country Mouse with him and showed him into a larder containing flour and oatmeal and figs and honey and dates.



KEPENTINGAN BAHASA INGGERIS

           Menjelang tahun 2003, bahasa Inggeris telah mula digunakan dalam pendidikan di Malaysia. Sistem ini dimulakan apabila bahasa Inggeris dijadikan bahasa penghantar untuk mata pelajaran sains dan matematik. Pelaksanaannya dijalankan secara berperingkat-peringkat yang dimulakan kepada pelajar tahun 1 serta pelajar tingkatan 1. Beberapa tahun kemudian, semua pelajar sekolah rendah dan sekolah menengah telah menggunakan bahasa Inggeris sepenuhnya dalam pendidikan sains dan matematik. Biarpun program ini diliputi dengan pelbagai kontravesi namun tindakan kerajaan melaksanakan dasar penggunaan bahasa Inggeris dalam pendidikan memberi pelbagai kebaikan.
